Biography
Mutlu Manyas Wheatley founded the firm and has advised leading Turkish companies, among them ISO 500 and ISE 100 companies, on a number of major projects and helped to bring them to a successful conclusion.
Mutlu has substantial experience in contract, commercial, corporate and maritime law, and specialises in domestic and international contracts, contractual disputes and commercial litigation. The practice centres on the automotive, shipbuilding and defence industries, with extensive experience of negotiating and drafting the contracts at the heart of clients’ businesses: shipbuilding contracts, CKD/SKD/DKD vehicle manufacturing agreements, distribution agreements, OEM supply agreements and tenders of the Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM).
Mutlu advises companies on their commercial activities and investments, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, investment agreements and the regulatory procedures that go with them. Experience of investment abroad and partnerships with foreign companies supports clients as they grow.
In international disputes, Mutlu works to resolve matters quickly and in the interests of both sides. International experience, negotiating skill and a command of languages help clients reach the best outcome at the lowest cost. Mutlu speaks English to native level.
